Privileges of Membership
There are several categories of Membership.
EWRS Ordinary and Student Members are entitled to:

Attend and vote at the General Assembly thereby participating in policy making for the Society and its activities.

Participate in the affairs of the Society and where appropriate to become member of the Board and other committees. Officers of the Society must be resident in Europe.

Elect the Vice-President, the Secretary, the Treasurer, and the Scientific Secretary.

Elect National Representatives for their own country.

Receive the audited report of the Society's finances presented by the Board and approved by the General Assembly.

Submit proposals to the Board and/or the General Assembly.

Receive and comment on reports on the activities of the Society and its Committees.

Receive the Newsletter and other information relevant to the aims of the Society.

Receive a personal copy of the Society's journal WEED RESEARCH free of charge or at a reduced price, as decided by the Board annually*.

Attend at reduced charges events organised by the Society and to have priority where there is a restricted attendance.
EWRS Honorary Members:

Are exempt from membership dues.

Have all the privileges of the Ordinary members
Sustaining Members must nominate a representative in the case of an organization. The Sustaining Member or its representative is entitled to:

Participate in the affairs of the Society.

Affiliated Member Organizations are entitled to:

Nominate a representative to attend the General Assembly who shall not be eligible to vote.

Receive the Newsletter and other information relevant to the aims of the Society.
